
Affectionately known as Mama Rosita, Rosa Arévalo Maynas is a deeply respected Master Shipibo Shaman whose life has been devoted to healing for more than 40 years. Raised alongside her cousin, the renowned healer Guillermo Arévalo Valera, she was introduced early to the sacred traditions that would shape her path and help carry Shipibo wisdom into the wider world. From childhood, she trained within this ancestral lineage, developing a profound bond with the ceremonial practices and spiritual teachings of the Shipibo-Conibo people.
Today, Mama Rosita is recognized for the depth of her knowledge, her grace, and her compassionate presence. As the wife and spiritual partner of Maestro Antonio, she shares in a powerful Amazonian healing lineage grounded in ancient medicine and ceremonial dedication. Her work reflects a lifelong commitment to the plants and traditions she serves, including Ayahuasca, Pinon Blanco, and more than fifty other plant species.
