Robin Clements was first introduced to the healing arts in his early 20s, beginning in 1997 in Mexico by the ocean. Guided by Sunday Myers, a bodywork chiropractor from New York, he completed a three-year apprenticeship that sparked a lasting devotion to sports massage, yoga, and breathwork. During that time, he built a simple and abundant life in the tropics as a young surfer.
He also had the rare opportunity to study the traditional Mexica Temazcal Sweat Lodge with Andres Orvananos, sitting with him monthly for more than 20 years. That practice helped bring Robin into his voice and into the prayer of his heart.
In 2000, he invited Dr. Judith Kravitz, founder of Transformational Breathing, to lead trainings in Los Cabos, Mexico. That same year, he connected with his yoga teacher, Shiva Rea. For several years, Robin dedicated himself deeply to yoga and breathwork, eventually becoming a Senior Trainer with the Transformational Breath Foundation and a traveling yoga assistant within Shiva Rea’s Prana Vinyasa Yoga community.
Drawing from breath, massage, Alphabiotics, yoga, and shamanic studies, Robin founded Baja Wellness in 2008 and opened a studio in Jose del Cabo. In 2010, Grandmother Ayahuasca entered his community through the late Rodolfo Salomon, who had received a blessing from the ComunIndios community in southern Brazil. Together with his medicine sister, Luna Itzel, Robin served the community for nine years, until he met his wife in Costa Rica and later returned to Canada to begin a family.
Today, Robin continues to be guided by the understanding that breath is his medicine and the deepest source of his own healing. He is passionate about teaching teachers and co-creating intentional villages, with a focus on women and children, while continuing to learn from the wisdom keepers who support him, especially his family and community. He is currently a guest in the Cowichan Coast Salish Territory and gratefully collaborates with local Indigenous elders.
His vision is a future in which people remember the innate magic of free energy and reconnect through community, practice, medicine, and ritual in the regenerative power of love.
Robin begins by connecting with your story and exploring what you want to experience in this life. Together, you establish a prayerful intention for the session. He then shares some science and practical guidance around Breathwave before leading you through an hour of Conscious Connected Breathing. Afterward, there is time for deep relaxation, grounding, and reflection, followed by a conversation about your insights and how to continue.
Senior Teacher Trainer of Conscious Connected Breathing, Founder of Breathwave, Founder of Baja Wellness, Doctor of Divinity, and certified yoga instructor.
Robin has received initiations from lineages including Transformational Breath, Re-birthing, Shiva Rea, Lakota, Anishinaabe, Navajo, Mexica, Huichol, Canadian First Nations, and several bodywork certifications.
