Born and raised in London, Robert now divides his time between Costa Rica and Peru. From an early age, he has been drawn to life’s deeper questions, while also nurturing a strong connection to nature and a curiosity about the world. With an adventurous spirit, he has travelled widely, meeting people from many cultures and communities, and broadening his understanding of the human experience.
He originally set out to become an actor before moving into advertising, where he worked with some of the UK’s leading publishers.
Searching for clarity and self-acceptance, Robert was introduced to the transformative power of ayahuasca in 2014. The experience marked a turning point in his spiritual development, and in the years that followed he continued to deepen his relationship with ayahuasca in the UK, Ecuador, and Peru.
In 2020, he returned to South America to dedicate himself fully to plant medicine work and to the path of service. He began facilitating at an ayahuasca center in the Peruvian Amazon and later in Mexico. During this period, he strengthened his connection to the Shipibo tradition and worked extensively with other sacred medicines, including kambo, bufo, and peyote.
Robert was delighted to join the Soltara team in April 2022, and feels honored to continue supporting groups through their ayahuasca journeys.
Widely appreciated for his compassion, quick wit, and sincere kindness, he brings a heartfelt dedication to supporting others on their healing and self-discovery paths. With warmth, playfulness, and curiosity, he seeks to help people integrate their insights and create lasting change in their lives.
Robert completed Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry professional training program in February 2024. Alongside his plant medicine work, he is also a yoga teacher and has taught in several countries across Latin America.
