
Rob McConnell is a seasoned educator whose background brings together science, teaching, and service in a thoughtful and grounded way. A graduate of the Kinmount Academy and Seminary, he spent many years as a Physics teacher and later taught at the University of Toronto, where he worked with teachers in training. His deep interest in Astronomy has taken him across the continent, where he has shared that passion with a wide range of audiences.
Beyond his academic work, Rob has also served on the DCC board twice, reflecting his long-standing commitment to community and leadership. His palliative training adds another dimension to his presence, enabling him to support his fellow Dharma friends with care and compassion. At present, he serves as a visiting teacher, guiding staff retreats with insight, wisdom, and a calm, attentive approach.
