About Rhyse

Rhyse (he/him) is a queer shibari enthusiast and playful sadist who has been working with rope since 2011, and suspending himself and his partners since 2012. His teaching draws on years of hands-on experience, with classes covering rope safety fundamentals, hojojitsu and shibari history, single and double column ties, suspension harnesses and sequences, rope take-down scenes, fireplay, and rope as ritual.

As an educator, Rhyse is committed to Risk Aware Consensual Kink and to supporting harm reduction within the community. Clear communication, consent, negotiation, and safety are woven into every class, creating a learning space that is both grounded and inviting for students exploring rope at different levels.
