Rhian Walker

Rhian Walker

Description

Rhian Walker serves as co-lead minister at St. Andrew’s-Wesley United Church in Vancouver, BC, and is deeply committed to supporting the spiritual growth of those around her. She is inspired by new expressions of church and trusts in the transformative power of spiritual practice and community to help address suffering in our communities and in the wider world.

She holds a Masters of Public and Pastoral Leadership from the Vancouver School of Theology, an MA in Philosophy, Religion and Literature from Sussex University, and a BA in Philosophy and Creative Writing from UVic. Her previous roles include lead minister at Heartwood Community Café, an LGBTQ social enterprise run by Trinity United, Minister of Outreach and Formation at Lynn Valley United in North Vancouver, and Conference Minister for LeaderShift, a professional development program focused on the inner and outer skills of leadership in the United Church.

Rhian is also a singer, an amateur poet, and an average gardener, and she openly admits that camping is not her strong suit despite growing up on the West Coast.
