Randy Wong serves as Vice Chair and brings more than 27 years of experience as a counsellor in a community mental health clinic. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and a master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Victoria, reflecting a career shaped by both analytical thinking and a deep understanding of human development.
His connection to The Haven spans decades and generations. Randy’s father, Ben, was one of the organization’s founders, and Randy has remained closely involved through many roles over the years — from maintenance work and service positions when he was 19, to participating in and interning in Haven programs in his 20s. For more than a decade, he also represented the founding family as a Member for Haven Foundation.
Today, that legacy continues through his daughter, who has taken part in Kids in the Spotlight for the past seven years, making her the third generation of the Wong-McKeen family connected to The Haven.
