Radha (Carol Whitfield Ph.D.) studied Advaita Vedanta and Sanskrit with Swami Dayananda Saraswati in India during the 1970s. After returning to the United States, she taught Vedanta widely on both coasts. A university professor and Jungian-oriented clinical psychologist, she now teaches Vedanta in Berkeley, California.
She is also a faculty member in the East-West Psychology Department at the California Institute of Integral Studies and maintains a private practice in Berkeley. Her way of presenting this timeless self-knowledge is both clear and elegant, making it easy to understand without losing the depth of the tradition. In her presence, one feels a deep well of clarity and wisdom that speaks to the heart of what yoga is truly about.
Alongside her strong teaching, she also offers profound guided meditation sessions that invite deep rest and nourishment, creating space for the inner child to relax. Her lifelong experience in Jungian psychology brings a grounded quality to the teachings and supports a meaningful integration of wisdom in a fresh way.
