Namaste! I am Priyanka Parihar, originally from Kolkata, a lively city shaped by Bengali culture and Hindu traditions. I come from a traditional Brahmin family, and these roots have deeply influenced my path.
Although I chose a direction beyond the usual career route, I found my calling in yoga. I completed my formal schooling at respected institutions and later earned a master’s degree in yoga and nutrition. Along the way, I explored yoga philosophy, history, techniques, and a wide range of styles, building a strong foundation for my teaching.
My training includes a 300-hour TTC in Hatha Yoga, followed by a 500-hour TTC in transformative Hatha Yoga. Over the past nine years, I have shared this knowledge with students through studio classes and private sessions across Delhi and many other parts of India.
In 2021, I felt called to Goa and its vibrant yoga community, and I moved to a peaceful seaside village by the coast. There, I met yoga teachers, healers, and therapists from around the world. This experience broadened my understanding of modern yoga and inspired me to blend traditional practices with contemporary insights.
My devotion to Krishna and my connection to Bhakti Yoga have always been central to my journey. This spiritual grounding brings together the physical and inner dimensions of yoga, shaping my distinctive transformative approach.
While living in Goa, I not only deepened my practice but also met my life partner, who owns a beautiful seaside yoga retreat center. Today, I live, learn, and teach at Nalanda Retreat, where traditional and modern yoga meet in a natural flow.
As Yoga Director at Nalanda Retreat, I continue to grow in my own practice while guiding others on their yoga journeys. My intention is to create a balanced space where people can experience the transformative power of yoga in its purest form.
Join me on this holistic journey of self-discovery and well-being at Nalanda Retreat, where tradition meets modernity and the essence of yoga unfolds in every practice.
Namaste!
