
Since 2018, Ponleu has been deepening his understanding of yoga and the benefits it can bring. At first, balancing the practice with a full-time job was challenging, and there were moments when he felt yoga was not worth the time. Over time, however, he came to see that this view was mistaken. What he needed was patience, a willingness to explore the deeper meaning of the practice, and consistency.
Looking back now, he sees how much has changed. Through regular practice, he has experienced many positive benefits, and he continues to bring yoga into daily life as a way to reflect on experiences and situations as they arise. In his words, yoga has had a real impact on communication and has offered the best solutions for facing and resolving problems. He believes it is important to carry this message forward and to understand that yoga is not only about posture or asana. It is also about what you do with awareness, consciousness, calmness, and peacefulness — knowing yourself and being ready to practice without distraction from those around you.
What inspires him most to continue practicing and sharing yoga with students and the wider community is the joy he feels in seeing their smiles and peaceful faces from the beginning to the end of class.
