PAULA GISSEL YAMA

Paula Gissel Yama is a painter, sound therapist, yoga instructor, and massage therapist whose work is shaped by a deep connection to her Oaxacan roots. Guided from an early age toward the healing arts, she has woven ancestral knowledge into her practice through the wisdom of her grandmothers, healers, and temazcaleras. Her relationship with water is especially central to her work, and she brings this through aquatic dance modalities such as Janzu and Aguahara, offering experiences that invite both release and renewal.

Having traveled widely across Mexico, India, Nepal, the United States, and South America, she has studied and integrated a rich range of disciplines, including art, yoga, massage, sound healing, and shamanic practices. Today, Paula Gissel Yama shares this diverse background through workshops, retreats, and sessions designed to create meaningful transformation.
