Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative (Guest Teacher). Patti Chou comes from the beautiful island of Taiwan, where her sister first introduced her to yoga. In her very first class, Patti did not even realize she was practicing yoga, yet she was immediately captivated by the sequence and structure of the method. It was a humbling experience to discover how momentum can be built in a way that strengthens both body and mind from within.
Patti practiced daily until a life-changing moment arrived: she fell from a slack line and broke her humerus. In time, she came to see this injury as her greatest teacher. Beginning again slowly, she learned to work with her limitations and release attachment to the body’s past or future state. As her healing unfolded through yoga, she felt called to share these lessons with others.
Her teaching style has been deeply shaped by recovery, with acceptance of the present moment and healing as the only goal. With 5 years of teaching experience, Patti has become a strong Vinyasa Ashtanga teacher and also teaches methodology and sequencing. She continues to inspire students from many nationalities, with a long-term intention that what they learn in her classes will support every part of their lives.
