With more than 45 years of teaching behind her, Patricia Sullivan brings depth, clarity, and a wide-ranging perspective to every class and retreat she leads. Her journey into yoga began in 1971, and during the 1980s she studied in India on three separate occasions with the Iyengars, an experience that helped shape her lifelong commitment to thoughtful, disciplined practice.
Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, she taught Advanced Studies for teachers-in-training, before continuing her own path of independent study. Today, Patricia continues to offer retreats at Tassajara Zen Mountain Center, Green Gulch Farm and Zen Temple, and other venues, creating spaces where students can slow down, deepen practice, and explore with care.
Her teaching is informed by yogic traditions, Buddhist studies and practice, her artwork, qigong, and postural analysis through the Egoscue method. The result is an approach that feels grounded, insightful, and richly integrated.
