
Known in childhood as Vyas Dev ji, Swami Yogeshwaranand Saraswati is remembered as one of the great yogis of the 20th century. At just fourteen, he chose a path of renunciation, leaving the security of home behind to live with discipline and devotion. His journey led him to the Himalayas and Tibet, where he studied the sacred Hindu scriptures and practiced ancient wisdom with one aim: self-realization.
Over the course of his remarkable life, Swami Yogeshwaranand Saraswati dedicated himself fully to the science of yoga, sharing the knowledge he received from revered ascetics as well as from his own spiritual realizations. His teachings and experiences were carefully recorded in a large collection of well-documented books, preserved in the ashram’s sacred library.
Swamiji left the physical world on 23rd April 1985, yet his legacy continues to inspire seekers on their spiritual paths. His passing marked the completion of a life devoted to truth, self-realization, and the sharing of deep yogic wisdom.
