Pamela Ambrose

Description

Pamela Ambrose is a senior Magyu student, a devoted practitioner, and an Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Council member. She brings her experience and intention to help create a safe space for LGBTQIA+ sangha members. The program includes centering exercises, body-based guided meditations, and council circles for sharing and reflecting on the lived experience of being LGBTQIA+ practitioners.

She has studied and practiced Buddhism since 2007, became a student of Lama Tsultrim Allione in 2010, and aligned with the Magyu lineage in 2014. Pamela serves on the Tara Mandala Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Council and held the Ratna role on the Tara Mandala Bay Area Mandala committee from 2015 to 2018. In 2021, she took part in Ruth King’s Mindful of Race training with the San Francisco Dharma Collective board.

Outside her spiritual work, Pamela applies her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science as a Knowledge Consultant for a global professional services organization. She has also studied Tarot and Astrology since 1987 and was mentored in Motherpeace and modern Astrology by Vicki Noble from 2018 to 2022.
