Hello, I’m Nooshin, a mental health clinician and certified fitness trainer. My aim is to move therapy off the couch and into nature. For those who prefer it, indoor movement therapy is also available. Trail running, hiking, and time outdoors offer many well-documented benefits for the brain, and can bring comfort, inspiration, and emotional balance. Working with me is not about fitness goals or weight loss. Instead, our time together is a process of connecting with the outdoors while strengthening the mind-body connection. I draw on a range of approaches that explore how your thoughts, emotions, and actions affect your overall functioning in daily life.
Your first appointment always takes place in the studio, where we’ll talk through what you hope to change with the support of therapy. From there, we’ll decide together whether you’d like to continue with movement therapy indoors or nature therapy outside.
If you choose running, we’ll keep the pace at what’s known as conversation pace. That means moving at a speed that allows you to speak comfortably. For some people, that may mean walking instead of running, or combining both, and that’s completely fine. Conversation pace looks different for everyone, and discovering your own pace is part of the running therapy process.
