Description

Biography

I am a traveler, consciousness guide, ceremony leader, and psychedelic facilitator, bringing together a lifetime of experience in service. Over 50 years, my path has taken many turns, with time lived in the UK, the Netherlands, and Nicaragua, alongside extensive travel and work across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America. I first set off on a solo trip around the world at 18, and since then, being on the road has remained one of my most important contemplative and spiritual practices.

My professional background spans corporate, non-profit, volunteer, healing, and self-development settings. I have worked with CEOs, government ministers, community health workers, digital human rights campaigners, the homeless, the queer community, spiritual seekers, and people searching for healing. The breadth of these experiences has shaped a grounded, compassionate way of supporting others.

Life has also brought serious burnouts, heartbreak, coming out, and the discovery of true love. These experiences have all contributed to my own process of growth and emergence. Plant medicines and other altered states of consciousness practices have become an important part of my personal development, helping me reconnect with spiritual beliefs, deepen inner peace, and cultivate presence. It is an honour to support others on their journeys.

Through my work as a guide, ceremony leader, and psychedelic facilitator, I support people in building a more conscious and authentic relationship with themselves and the world around them. I believe that healing and expanded perspective at the individual level can nurture creativity, wellbeing, and growth, while also contributing positively to society. In 2020, I founded MAGUEY, a healing and growth practice based in Amsterdam, which supports seekers in connecting more deeply with Self, Surrounding, and Spirit through transformational coaching programmes.

I currently serve as chair of Guild of Guides Netherlands, the professional association of facilitators of legal psychedelic experiences in the Netherlands. British by birth, I now call Amsterdam home. I am married, a father to our grown-up daughter and also to a young puppy, and I am deeply drawn to nature, stillness, and the unknown. In the humblest sense, I see myself as a modern mystic in the making.

Approach

I take an holistic approach, supporting you as you move further along your personal path of healing and discovery and into a deeper connection with self, surrounding, and spirit. As a trauma-informed practitioner, I can assist at every stage of your psychedelic pathway. I believe we all carry the capacity to heal and grow, though at times we may feel disconnected from that inner wisdom. Together, we can begin to restore that connection.

We meet where you feel ready and comfortable, and from there build a trust-based relationship rooted in co-creation. My intuition and presence guide my work, and I hope to awaken that same quality in others. Nature also plays a central role in my personal and professional approach to healing and growth, serving as both companion and guide.

Typical Components of Support

  • Discovery and intake – establishing the foundation of the journey, exploring rapport, and setting the basis of the coaching relationship.
  • Personal preparation – supporting you as you prepare for a psychedelic or other altered state of consciousness experience, including your background, intentions, expectations, and any concerns.
  • Practical preparation – helping you prepare on a mind, body, and spirit level for ceremony, with guidance for before, during, and after your experience.
  • Ceremony – for those in Amsterdam or able to visit, I offer legal psychedelic ceremonies, principally working with psilocybin in the form of truffles.
  • Integration and aftercare – supporting the work that comes next, so insights can be embodied through reflection, reconnection, and practical action. Most sessions include a somatic and talk-based element, along with moments of stillness and deep presence to connect with the body’s innate wisdom.
