Navin is an Interdisciplinary Practitioner and Counsellor (RCC), Music Therapist (BMT), Yoga Teacher (YTT-250), and artist whose creative practice includes music and writing. With ancestral roots in India, the birthplace of his parents and grandparents, he is a second-generation Indo-Canadian, born in Canada and currently based in Vancouver, BC. His personal journey has guided him toward a life of service.
His work is grounded in academic training, professional experience within the healthcare system, participation in community wellness spaces, and his own lived experience. It is also shaped by the knowledge passed down from loved ones, ancestors, clients, elders, and mentors. Navin sees the therapeutic relationship as a sacred path and considers it an honour to accompany someone through introspection, healing, growth, self-exploration, and personal development.
As a Music Therapist (BMT), Navin has worked in healthcare settings supporting addictions and mental health, as well as in community-based environments. He has shared his work at wellness events, workshops, and conferences, with a focus on how music and sound can be used in therapeutic and healing settings to help improve quality of life and support people facing mental health challenges.
Through his own life experience, Navin has known what it is to feel lost in despair, to question the value of existence, and to wonder whether love, connection, and wholeness are truly possible. By exploring a blend of contemporary and traditional wellness and therapeutic modalities, he has witnessed firsthand the healing, relief, and transformation that can emerge when we tend to our wounds with care and intention.
Navin is deeply committed to well-being, mental health, community building, and healing. He believes our deepest ruptures can become our greatest teachers, and that as we care for our pain, we expand our capacity for joy, gratitude, and love. He feels honoured to walk this path and to give back through his work.
