Founder and lead Vinyasa teacher, Nancy began her yogic path in 1992 within the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition before relocating to Costa Rica to pursue a simpler life in close connection with nature. She has completed more than 750 hours of Yoga Alliance teacher trainings and has been shaped by a wide range of methods and traditions. Yet it was the experience of overcoming one of life’s greatest tragedies and losses that opened her heart in a profound way, allowing her to share her teachings with deep compassion, confidence, and joy.
Her Tantra Vinyasa classes reflect a distinctive approach that blends the creativity of Vinyasa yoga with her passion for Non-dual Tantra. These sessions weave together Tantric techniques, powerful breathwork, and modern expressions of yogic arts. The result is a rich combination of mindfulness and embodiment practices that creates an educational, physically demanding, and deeply soulful experience.
Each class explores creative vinyasa sequences guided by alignment principles, while also incorporating Tantric practices such as mantra, kirtan, pranayama, and other methods designed to awaken inner fire, steady the mind, and expand capacity on every level. Nancy has practiced yoga for 30 years and taught for more than 20 years. She is a fully initiated Tantrika through Yogarupa Rod Stryker and his Guru Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, Ph.D., in the Sri Vidya tradition.
Nancy and her family created and operated Pranamar Villas and Yoga Retreat on the beach in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, for 15 years. Today, she teaches daily yoga classes, workshops, teacher trainings, and retreats around the world.
