Venerable Pisit Sopakdithapong, known as Monk Peter, is a Theravada monk based in Thailand whose path to the Dharma began after a twelve-year career in business. Although he had pursued success, recognition, and security, he eventually found that these worldly goals did not lead to lasting happiness. Instead, he felt deeply unfulfilled and “empty and dead inside.”
Seeking a more meaningful way of living, he turned to meditation and the teachings of Buddhism, beginning a personal journey of transformation and inner discovery. His background gives him a grounded, relatable perspective, allowing him to speak with clarity and compassion to those who are also searching for purpose, peace, and a deeper sense of well-being.
Through his presence and guidance, participants can expect an authentic introduction to mindfulness, reflection, and spiritual practice rooted in lived experience.
