Ming Tsai is a dancer and multidisciplinary artist from Taiwan, now based in Montreal. He began facilitating and teaching contact improvisation during the pandemic, bringing a thoughtful and responsive approach to movement practice. Most recently, he co-facilitated a two-week contact improvisation residency with Geraldín España in Columbia, further expanding his work within the international dance community.
At present, Ming is involved in teaching and organizing the weekly jams in Montreal, the seasonal jams at Earthdance, and the annual Quebec Silent Jam. His work creates space for shared exploration, embodied connection, and creative exchange. Through travel and dance, he aims to cultivate deeper listening, relational skills, and creativity that can carry into modern everyday life.
