Michelle began practicing Bikram yoga nearly 20 years ago, when she was juggling a busy student life while studying Kinesiology at SFU. After completing her first teacher training in 2004, she planned to spend a year traveling and teaching yoga. That single year grew into a decade, carrying her through cities such as Hong Kong, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Istanbul, Gothenburg, Brisbane, Sydney, and Christchurch.
Wherever she went, Michelle kept finding the same sense of connection and familiarity, and she brings that feeling into every class she teaches. After returning to Canada, she deepened her understanding of the human body by becoming a Registered Massage Therapist. Today, she divides her time between caring for her two young sons and teaching yoga. Through her teaching, Michelle invites students into a personal journey of self-discovery, guided by a thoughtful balance of movement and stillness.
