I began studying with Clear Sky’s founding teachers and community in 2003, and that experience rekindled the sense of aliveness I had been searching for. I tend to dive in wholeheartedly, and that is exactly what I did there. Each summer, I returned to help develop the farm and land, later serving on the Board of Directors. I then moved from Japan to live at and run the center for eight years. I still enjoy bringing people and events together at Clear Sky. Now based in Nelson, B.C., I’m part of a wakeful, innovative team. I also help run a co-working space where meditation, mindful collaboration, and teamwork are part of the daily rhythm. Outside of work, I enjoy wordplay with friends, discovering new ways to eat sea buckthorn berries, and getting outdoors whenever I can.
