Michael Reiley is a threshold composer, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer with more than 25 years of experience creating and performing music around the world. His work extends into hospice care, breathwork ceremonies, and psychedelic-assisted therapy — offering sound for the moments that ask the most of people.
At ASHA, Michael facilitates group sound journeys and ecstatic dance sessions, and also offers tailored one-to-one Deep Listening sessions designed around each participant’s needs. He is the composer behind the Alchemy of Breath Breathwork Music Library, a 70-track commissioned collection shaped around the full arc of a breathwork journey. He has also created original music for Anthony Abbagnano’s Mandala breathwork journey and Soul Song Messages with Amy Rachelle.
A student of composer and pioneer Pauline Oliveros, Michael has practiced and taught Deep Listening for decades — a sound approach that expands awareness beyond the everyday and into the full spectrum of listening experience. His instruments include handpan, crystal bowls, flutes, piano, guitar, and synthesis, brought together live or in the studio depending on what the moment calls for.
