Maurits Hofman is a father, a groundkeeper of AVANI, and a ceremony facilitator. At heart, he is simply human. For more than 20 years, he has been working around the sweat lodge (Inipi), inviting people to slow down, drop in, and remember what truly matters. His approach moves between the visible and the invisible, where silence can speak clearly and truth becomes deeply felt.
Grounded in systemic work and inspired by the Lakota tradition, he holds space for what is essential to emerge naturally. With a clear gaze and an open heart, he encourages honesty, simplicity, and genuine connection—with yourself, with others, and with the larger whole. AVANI is his home, shared with Anke and their children, Bodhi and Frida. Across the Netherlands, Italy, and France, he facilitates programs, retreats, and ceremonies that are not about becoming someone new, but about remembering who you already are at your core.
