My personal yoga journey began at the age of seventeen. In my first training as a dance therapist, I was always guided by the harmonious connection of body, mind, and soul, inseparable from the rhythm of the breath and authentic patterns of movement. During my studies, the wish to gain a professional teaching qualification gradually took shape.
From 1997 to 2002, I completed my studies with Sri Friedrich Schulz-Raffelt at the Sivananda Yoga-Vedanta School in DĂĽsseldorf. Through continuous teaching in different places, I developed an individual and multifaceted yoga style shaped by a range of traditions and deepened through numerous further trainings in Germany and abroad.
Several years of meditation practice inspired by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, along with advanced training in MBSR based on Jon Kabat-Zinn’s approach, have given me profound insight into human consciousness. I am especially inspired by Yin Yoga, which works gently on body and mind; in 2015, I received my teaching qualification for it at Ashtanga Connection in Cologne. In spring 2023, I completed a meditation teacher training at the School for Yoga and Buddhism with Minka Hauschild. In autumn 2023, I also finished a specialized training on “Yoga and Cancer” with Gaby Kammler.
In my classes, I bring together my many years of experience. What fascinates me about yoga is the conscious and subtle awareness of the body, the restorative staying in asanas, breath-led flowing movement, breathwork, pranayama, and much more.
