Bio

Mark Nunberg (he/him) has been dedicated to meditation practice since 1982 and has been sharing meditation since 1990. In 1993, he and his wife, Wynn Fricke, co-founded Common Ground Meditation Center in Minneapolis, where he continues to serve as Guiding Teacher. His path has included study with both Asian and Western teachers, and he draws lasting inspiration from the teachings of the Buddha.

For more than twelve years, Mark has led residential Vipassana retreats throughout Minnesota and across the United States, offering participants a steady, grounded approach to Buddhist awareness practice. He is also part of the leadership team developing a new retreat property in Western Wisconsin, set on 46 acres of rolling fields and woods. Mark remains a devoted student as well as a teacher, bringing depth, humility, and years of experience to each retreat and meditation session.
