With a PhD in art history and the author of Horizontal Together: Art, Dance, and Queer Embodiment in 1960s New York, Map brings a rich academic background and a deeply personal perspective to his teaching. Before fully dedicating himself to yoga, he taught at the university level in Thailand and internationally, building a career rooted in scholarship, communication, and cross-cultural exchange.
After years of prioritizing intellect over physical awareness, Map came to yoga as a way to reconnect mind and body. This journey shapes the way he approaches his sessions today, offering a thoughtful and grounded experience that invites students to move with greater presence, balance, and self-awareness.
