Maestro Sina
Description
Now 73, Maestro Sina was born in Peru’s Ucayalí region and is widely honored as a Shipibo elder and healer. He comes from a long line of onanyas — traditional Shipibo shaman-healers — and began learning from his father, grandfather, and other elders at a very young age. For more than four decades, he has devoted his life to serving his community and supporting guests from around the world.
Those who meet him encounter a humble, grounded maestro with profound knowledge, discipline, and a rare level of mastery in his ancestral tradition. During ayahuasca ceremonies, Sina is recognized for sensing energetic imbalances and working directly with each participant’s energetic body. Through his powerful and beautiful icaros, he brings clarity, cleansing, alignment, and transformation.
His work can support the release of emotional blockages, the healing of unresolved trauma, and the restoration of harmony for people carrying the weight of difficult experiences or harmful habits. Despite his deep experience and strong presence, Sina remains gentle and warm-hearted — a true grandfather figure who enjoys teaching, sharing, and guiding those who arrive with sincerity.
Over the years, he has also supported many apprentices in completing their training and becoming healers themselves. Jan Rostlinka, organizer of this event and owner of Feather Crown Retreat Center, has built a close and trusted relationship with Sina over the past decade, training with him through diets and ceremonies while assisting groups of international guests.
It is a deep honor to welcome Maestro Sina back to Feather Crown each year, where his presence continues to inspire meaningful transformation and profound healing. During the retreats, he is accompanied by his son, who has trained for many years to carry forward his father’s lineage. He supports Sina in ceremonies, integrations, and daily guidance, bringing his own kindness, clarity, and youthful strength to the work. His presence adds an extra layer of care, support, and connection to the Shipibo tradition.
