Known in the Shipibo tradition as Iscumeni, a name that loosely translates to Beautiful World, Jorge has dedicated more than 30 years to supporting others through healing work.
He began his path with plant medicine in his late twenties and started dieting at age 31. His first long dieta was with tobacco, and he trained as a tobaquero before moving into work with ayahuasca. For eight years, he served as a tobaquero, helping people in his community heal while continuing to diet additional plants and deepen his learning with Ayahuasca.
By the age of 38, Jorge was ready to bring Ayahuasca into his healing service, and he has worked with the medicine ever since, still using tobacco regularly in his practice. Among his favorite trees are Huacapurana, Icoja, Chuchuhuasi, Tamamuri, and Murure. Guided by a lifelong calling to help others, he continues to share his experience with care and devotion.
