Born into a family of Ayahuasca shamans in the Shipibo village of San Francisco de Yarinacocha, just a short drive from Pucallpa, Herminio grew up surrounded by the living tradition of plant healing. His older brother, Maestro Misael, is both his closest friend and one of his greatest inspirations. From an early age, he watched his parents and extended family dedicate their lives to healing ceremonies and to guiding plant dietas.
At 16, his desire to deepen this path led him to begin his first plant dieta under the guidance of Maestra Justina. Since then, he has continued learning and dieting with different master plants. His first long dieta lasted eight months, during which he worked with chaikuni rimu ininti, also known as jungle lemongrass and recognized as the master plant of the Chaikunis.
Maestro Herminio is known for his exceptional healing gifts, gentle nature, and deep knowledge of plants and plant dieta healing. His icaros can awaken a feeling of pure joy in the heart, while his empathy and dedication help others feel safe, supported, and open to receiving his healing.
