Born in Vencedor, a small fishing town on the banks of the Pisqui River in the Peruvian Amazon, Maestro Grimaldo comes from a region known for its deep-rooted vegetalismo shamanic tradition and the abundance of medicinal plants found nearby. He was raised in a family of gifted, devoted healers, and from an early age felt a strong connection to the plant world. Under the guidance of his father, Maestro Pedro, he began developing his abilities as a healer, and at the age of 9 completed his first long-term plant dieta with support from both his father and his aunt, Maestra Justina.
For more than 15 years, he has worked with the medicine, dieting many different plants and trees. Maestro Grimaldo is devoted to serving others with sincerity and heart, and he remains fully committed to walking the medicine path with integrity. He brings humility to his work and aims to support those who come to Arkana in deep healing on every level.
