At 15, he was deeply moved when his uncle returned to the village after a long dieta. His family spoke of him as a Muraya, the highest level of spiritual development in Shipibo shamanism, and shared stories of the healing ceremonies he led. Inspired by these memories, he drank Ayahuasca for the first time that same year. At 23, he began his first dieta under the guidance of his father, who was also a Shipibo shaman.
Since then, he has devoted his life to healing, guiding many students and continuing to dieta with many plants in order to deepen the wisdom passed down by his ancestors. With more than 28 years of experience working with Ayahuasca, it is a true privilege to enter ceremony with him and receive his heartfelt icaro.
