Alessio Picota Panduro is a Shipibo onanya whose path has been formed through family teaching and years of disciplined plant dietas. His way of life reflects simplicity, attentiveness, and deep respect for the living intelligence of the forest.
His relationship with the Numinous is quiet and continuous, rooted in daily practice rather than belief or theory. Shaped by many years of plant dietas, his path is built on listening, restraint, and reverence for the forest’s living wisdom.
That spirit is reflected in his humility, simplicity, and sensitivity to natural rhythms. For Alessio, the sacred is not separate from everyday life, but present in the way he lives, connects, and serves—both in ceremony and beyond it.
Alessio Picota Panduro is a Shipibo onanya whose formation has come through years of devoted plant dietas within his family lineage. With more than eight years of experience, his learning has been closely guided by his mother and shaped through sustained relationships with the medicinal plants of the Amazon.
He has completed dietas with a range of master plants, including marusa, bobinsana, ajosacha, peón colorado, niwe rao, camalonga, chuchuhuasi, and chiuaco. His approach is marked by patience, continuity, and respect for the traditional Shipibo way of learning directly from the plants themselves.
At Numinous Ways retreats, Alessio supports ceremonies alongside his mother, bringing participants a steady and respectful presence grounded in lived practice and family transmission.
