Born in 1989 in the old Aguaypa community in the Iparia district of Ucayali, Peru, Mary Julliana Vasquez Rios carries the Shipibo name San Kenguano. She comes from a family of healers: both her mother and father have dedicated many years to this path. Since the age of 15, she learned about medicine by observing how her mother, Maricela Ríos Inuma, prepared remedies and cared for the sick in her community. At 16, she began drinking ayahuasca, completed her first diet, and opened her connection with the sacred plants. From then on, she accompanied her parents in ceremonies, supporting them and assisting with different treatments.
At 18, she began guiding ayahuasca ceremonies and diets. Mary Juliana is devoted to helping her patients heal body, soul, and spirit, while bringing thoughts and feelings into harmony so the heart can open as well. She believes in life, peace, harmony, and tranquility through healing, and in a deep connection with Mother Earth through plants and the spirit of the jungle.
