We are delighted to welcome Maestra Anita Perez Sinacay, known in her Shipibo tradition as Matsakate, a name that means “beautiful woman full of the light and colors of the medicine,” to the Soltara Healing Center family. Born in 1975 in the lively community of Nuevo Paraiso, Coronel Portillo, in Peru’s Ucayali Region, she has dedicated 25 years to the path of healing. Her journey began with her first dieta with Renaco, and since then she has built a deep and lasting connection to ancestral wisdom.
Alongside her husband, Maestro Javier, Maestra Anita carries forward a respected lineage of medicine holders who share a strong belief in the transformative power of plant medicine. Their approach to healing is rooted in spiritual strength and clarity, with the intention of guiding others toward wellness through the light of God. At Soltara, Maestra Anita offers a gentle yet powerful presence, supporting guests as they connect with the healing spirits of the plants and the natural world. Her favorite plant, Shihuahuaco, is valued for its grounding and strengthening qualities, reflecting her own role within the healing community.
