Scientific research has increasingly confirmed the importance of heart-brain communication and the wide-ranging benefits of heart coherence. These include neurological and cognitive support, cardiovascular and hormonal benefits, improvements in immune function, greater vitality, and stronger social bonding.
The methods used to cultivate heart-brain coherence are simple, uplifting, and require very little time. Practiced consistently, they can bring lasting benefits, while also revealing the sense of connection to Universal consciousness that arises through the heart and is reflected in the miracle of everyday presence and life.
Each session begins with practical techniques for meditation on the heart center, followed by an active morning asana practice and restorative practices in the afternoon. The intention is for participants to leave with tools that support this state, along with a deeper sense of compassion and gratitude for themselves and their lives.

In 1982, Lynne became a full-time yoga instructor when she founded and directed Inner Dance Yoga Studio in Anchorage, Alaska. She also created 200-hour and 300-hour teacher training programs, which were later implemented in Alaska, Ohio, and Arizona.
Lynne facilitates workshops, annual retreats, and ongoing classes on Zoom. Her students consistently describe her teaching as inspiring, fun, and profound.
Raised in Wisconsin, Lynne’s love of travel and her degree in Environmental Geology brought her to Alaska in 1975, where she worked and played and met her future husband, Jim. They have been married since 1978 and enjoy camping, flying, overseas travel, and time with their beloved community of family and friends. Lynne also loves to sing, hula dance, play the ukulele, garden, bike, and hike. She currently lives in Bellingham, WA.

I am forever grateful to know her as a friend and mentor!"
"I had no idea how fortunate I was when I attended my first yoga class with Lynne Minton all those years ago. She awakened in me a deep love for the practice and philosophy that I continue to treasure and explore today. I so value her skill and her ability to create rich, nourishing classes that invite students of all levels to grow through yoga asana and pranayama. Her lifelong commitment to yoga shines through in her teaching, and she always creates space to learn, share, and explore the spiritual roots of yoga."
"Practicing with Lynne Minton is a sumptuous feast for the mind, body, and soul. Her inquisitive nature, playful spirit, commitment, love, and enduring faith in the power of presence have inspired generations of yogis. It has been one of the greatest privileges and joys of my life to explore the depths and play in the shallows with her."
