Description
Luis Andy comes from the Kichwa, more precisely the Napu Runa people of the Napo River region, and leads ceremonies on selected Ayahuasca retreats in Ecuador. Born into the family of the respected healer and yachak Don Ramon, who was known across Ecuador as one of the most powerful indigenous shamans, he was chosen as the firstborn son to continue this sacred lineage of yachaks.
From an early age, his father prepared him so that the spirits of nature could guide him into other worlds, where he received energies and learned how to support the healing of others. His shamanic training began when he was 8 years old, and through it he gained the power of three sacred places: a magical lagoon, a great river, and a sacred waterfall. In these realms, he encountered beings who blessed his healing path, crowned him, and dressed him in garments marked with magical symbols.
He also received the favor and strength of power animals such as giant anacondas, black panthers, and eagles. Over time, he learned to see the future, communicate with nature spirits with ease, and assist healing through medicinal plants. After 25 years of dedicated practice, he began helping both local people and international visitors openly.
In 2008, he became a teacher of Jan Rostlinka and a shaman in the Feather Crown Project. Today, Luis is prepared to guide participants safely through a powerful Ayahuasca ceremony, opening the way to deep healing and sacred visions. During each personal cleansing, he chants loudly and fans the body with surupanga (chacapa) leaves. He also works with strong natural tobacco wrapped in a banana leaf, crowns the participant, blows on the energy centers, and splashes them with scented water to cleanse negativity as thoroughly as possible.
After the ceremony, this process may leave participants with a sense of peace, mental clarity, strength, protection, and grounding in reality. It is also believed that good fortune may follow in the days ahead. Luis can additionally support people with various illnesses in a special session, during which he draws negative energies from the body. Those who have experienced Don Luis’ work often describe it as unforgettable and deeply transformative.
