Liana Sterling holds an MBA and an MS from Cornell University, an MPA and MPH from Columbia University, and a BA from Bryn Mawr College. Her career spans government, nonprofit, and private sectors, including work at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget, where she led initiatives in public health, social policy, and labor policy. Today, as a principal at Orleans Realty, she applies that broad cross-sector perspective to commercial and residential real estate projects.
She also contributes her time to the Weill Cornell Women’s Health Council and the Advocacy Council of the Citizens’ Committee for Children, while staying engaged with her alma mater. With additional training in DEI, design thinking, and governance from Harvard and MIT, she is committed to building systems that foster healthier, more equitable communities.
Liana has been visiting Kripalu for more than 20 years. Over the years, she has returned for yoga, ayurveda, meditation, and movement programs, and in 2012 became certified to teach Kripalu yoga dance. She is inspired by Kripalu’s work to share its evidence-based approach with organizations, helping cultivate cultures of health and support human flourishing at a systems level.
