Photographer & Program Facilitator. Leona discovered her passion for photography in high school, when she first picked up an old 110mm film camera. Since then, she has developed a sharp eye for detail and a natural ability to capture emotion, with more than 30 years of experience photographing and planning weddings and events.
She has also spent nearly 15 years as a Girl Guides leader and has been trained to guide youth on outdoor adventures, including a memorable 100 km canoe trip down the Red Deer River. Outside of work, Leona enjoys traveling, crafting, playing ultimate frisbee, and spending time outdoors camping, paddling, and hiking—always with her camera close at hand.
Leona says working with RMR brings together all of her interests, and she wishes it could be her full-time role. Her favorite saying is: “Smile, you never know when someone is taking your picture!” In most cases, it’s her.
