Laura has been dancing since childhood, and her deep love for Latin America has shaped her path in meaningful ways. For 12 years, she has practiced Salsa, while Cumbia remains her favorite music and a source of inspiration. These Latin American influences are reflected in the music sets she carefully curates for each Cacao Dance event.
In recent years, Laura has devoted herself to nervous system regulation, especially through somatic body practices such as clapping, shaking, and intuitive movement. This journey naturally brought her to ecstatic dance, which felt instantly familiar because it is not about technique or performance, but about feeling. For her, that has always been the heart of dance.
Laura sees movement as one of the most powerful tools we have, alongside writing and speaking, for understanding ourselves and supporting emotional regulation. Just as importantly, she believes it should be joyful. Through Cacao Dance, she creates spaces where people can be authentic, move freely, and connect without pretense. With warmth, intuition, and attention to detail, she shapes evenings where magic unfolds naturally and strangers become friends.
