
Since 1971, Larry Mermelstein has been a dedicated student of the Venerable Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, the renowned Tibetan Buddhist meditation master and scholar. Over the decades, he has played an important role as a senior teacher within the Vajradhatu/Shambhala community, offering guidance rooted in long-term practice and deep study.
He is also a founding member of the Nalanda Translation Committee and has served as its executive director for more than forty years. In addition, he has contributed as a long-time consulting editor for Shambhala Publications, helping support the careful presentation of Buddhist teachings for a wider audience.
