Larry Fuho Trussell

Bio

Larry Fuho Trussell has been devoted to Zen practice since 1976, bringing decades of depth and experience to his teaching. In 2015, he received Lay Transmission from Chozen and Hogen Roshi, marking an important milestone in his path. At Heart of Wisdom, he serves as the lead teacher for Sunday morning practice, offering a grounded and steady presence for the community. He is also one of the sesshin leaders in ZCO, supporting intensive retreat practice with clarity and care.

Beyond the Zen hall, Fuho works as a research scientist. He is married and has one grown son, reflecting a life that balances contemplative practice, professional inquiry, and family commitment.
