
Lara Braitstein is a professor of Indian and Tibetan Buddhism at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and brings a rich academic and teaching background to her work. Over the years, she has taught at the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute in New Delhi and the Rangjung Yeshe Institute in Kathmandu, and she continues to serve as a teacher within the Bodhi Path community.
Her teaching and research focus on the philosophical and literary traditions of Buddhism, with particular attention to Mahayana and Vajrayana thought. She is also deeply engaged with Buddhist hagiography, as well as Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhist literature and historiography, offering a nuanced perspective on the historical and spiritual development of these traditions.
