
Teaching yoga and the Alexander Technique since 1995, Kristen Davis brings decades of experience, depth, and thoughtful presence to her work. Her background is rooted in the Iyengar tradition, shaped especially by the guidance of her yoga teacher and mentor, Donald Moyer. She is also a dedicated practitioner of Soto Zen Buddhism and received the precepts in 2017 as part of her ongoing spiritual path. Kristen is a member of the Brooklyn Zen Center sangha, reflecting her long-standing commitment to mindfulness and disciplined practice.
In addition to her 1600-hour Alexander Technique training, she completed advanced postgraduate study in the Art of Breathing with Jessica Wolf in 2006. For 14 years, she served as the owner and director of Yogasana Center in Brooklyn, NY, where she supported a community of students through steady, intelligent, and embodied teaching.
