Yoga has been a true gift in my life since I stepped into my first class nearly 20 years ago. Since then, it has become the foundation that has helped me navigate stress and anxiety, as well as physical challenges and injuries, including recurring pain in my knees, shoulders, and neck. My practice, both on and off the mat, continues to build strength in body and mind with each passing day.
After retiring from my career as an Engineer following the birth of my daughter in 2011, I dreamed of opening a yoga studio. I completed my 200-hour YTT in 2013 while pregnant with my son, and I am now working toward my 500-hour YTT, which I plan to complete by the end of this year.
My family of four moved to the Bellingham area in 2020, and we love embracing all the adventures the beautiful Pacific Northwest has to offer. When I’m not at the studio, you may find me boating, fishing, camping, exploring with family and friends, or spending time in the garden. I feel deeply grateful for the chance to share your yoga journey and to grow Barkley Yoga with our community, and I look forward to the many classes, workshops, retreats, and explorations ahead.
