Krisna is a yoga teacher in Bali with more than 20 years of experience in Hatha and Yin yoga.
His journey into yoga began in 2005, when he turned to the practice to support recovery from sports injuries. What started as a form of physical rehabilitation soon opened into something far deeper, and yoga has remained at the center of his life ever since. That first experience of healing through movement stayed with him and continues to shape the way he teaches today.
After more than two decades living abroad and travelling around the world, Krisna made a decisive change. He left his role at the Indonesian Embassy in Ecuador and went to Rishikesh, India, to strengthen his practice and expand his knowledge. It was a life-shifting step. Immersed in one of the world’s most respected yoga traditions, he studied with dedication, refined his understanding, and returned to Bali with a practice that is both technically solid and deeply personal.
Back in Bali, he taught at retreat centers and studios throughout Ubud before joining the Power of Now Oasis team in Sanur, where he has been teaching for more than ten years. During that time, he has guided hundreds of students, from complete beginners stepping into their first class to experienced practitioners seeking a deeper experience. He is an E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance, and in our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training he teaches asana practice and alignment, teaching methodology, yoga philosophy and history, Hatha yoga, and Yin yoga.
As a Hatha and Yin yoga teacher in Bali, Krisna blends balance, breath awareness, and precise alignment into one integrated practice. His Hatha classes are structured and detail-focused, with a clear emphasis on body awareness, intentional movement, and understanding how the body works. His Yin classes create space for stillness, patience, and a quieter kind of attention, with longer holds that allow students to reach deeper layers of body and mind.
What distinguishes Krisna is his gift for making complex alignment feel approachable. He does not teach to impress; he teaches to help people feel better in their bodies. Whether someone is recovering from injury, navigating stress, or simply wanting to establish a steady practice, his classes meet them exactly where they are.
For him, yoga is a path of healing, grounding, and living authentically. That outlook is present in every class he leads, in the way he gives instructions, the pace he chooses, and the supportive space he creates for his students.
Yoga is not about perfecting the pose. It is about understanding yourself through the practice.
