Founder and Director, Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500, Krishna Chaitanya describes himself as a lifelong student, continually humbled by the vastness of yoga wisdom. With a broad foundation in traditional Hatha Yoga, meditation, Yoga-Vedanta philosophy and psychology, as well as yoga anatomy, he brings depth and clarity to his teaching.
From the age of 18, he spent more than 12 years living in traditional ashrams, including the Ramakrishna-Vivekananda monastic order in Calcutta, Bihar School of Yoga in Munger, the Himalayan Tradition of Swami Rama in Rishikesh, and Sivananda Ashram in Kerala. Deeply rooted in classical spirituality, he also followed his own independent path, questioning dogma and seeking direct experience through study, practice, and travel across many traditions and teachers worldwide.
After 15 years as a spiritual wanderer, Krishna founded this ashram with a vision of offering modern yogis a space to practice simple yoga in Mother Nature, free from unnecessary cultural or spiritual exaggeration, and grounded in practical wisdom for everyday life.
He teaches Yoga Philosophy, Hatha Yoga Anatomy, and Teaching Methodology in Yoga Teacher Training retreats. He also leads yoga and pranayama sessions for advanced students who are comfortable with 3-hour sessions. With more than 25 years devoted to practice and teaching, he is regularly invited to share his knowledge at retreats and ashrams around the world.
