Kogen Dai-Ho Kim Hart’s Zen path began in South Africa in the early 1990s and has since unfolded across several countries and lineages. After moving to London, she practiced with the Deshimaru lineage before continuing her training in Italy at Fudenji, where she studied with Maestro Fausto Taiten Guareschi for nearly six years. In 2011, she began resident training at the San Francisco Zen Center, and in 2016 she was ordained as a priest by her teacher, Ryushin Zendo Paul Haller. She was later invited to serve as shuso at SFZC’s City Center during the Winter 2022 Practice Period.
Now based in San Francisco, Kim lives with her husband and three remarkably talented cats. Alongside her Zen practice, she works as an artist and cleaner, bringing a grounded, creative spirit to her life and teaching.
