Description

Program Leader. Kathie is an artist, graphic designer, and journalist whose work has long centered on the healing power of creative expression. Best known for her signature program, Creative Journaling, she has been teaching it for 27 years, guiding participants to explore their thoughts and feelings through artful self-reflection. For sixteen years, she has facilitated expressive arts programs at Wellspring Alberta and has also contributed to the Tom Baker Cancer Center’s Medicine in Art initiative. Her background includes research into the effects of creativity on pain and depression, along with teaching roles at the Good Shepherd Art Studio and guest instruction at retreats and conferences throughout Alberta and British Columbia. Now serving as Associate Director at Sorrento Retreat and Conference Centre, Kathie designs experiences that foster connection, honor emotion, and nourish the soul—always finding joy in the people she meets along the way.
